A+ Renovation

Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data A+ Renovation collects on aplusrenovation.hu, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. In force from 8 September 2026.

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is A+ Property Kft., trading as A+ Renovation.

We do not have a data protection officer, because our activity is not of a kind that requires one by law. For any data protection question, write to the email address above.

2. What we collect and why

The survey request form

The form on our contact page asks for your name and email address (required), and your phone number, the address or district of the apartment, its size and a message (optional).

We use these to contact you, survey the apartment and prepare a quote. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by ticking the box on the form. Giving consent is voluntary, but without it we cannot accept the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of what we did before you withdrew it.

Phone calls and email

If you call or email us, we process your name, your contact details and whatever you tell us. We use this to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in replying to people who contact us.

Contracts and invoicing

If your enquiry becomes work, we also process the data needed for the contract and the invoice. The legal basis is performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and for keeping invoices, our legal obligation (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)).

Website measurement

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people visit and which pages they read. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give on the cookie bar at the bottom of the site. Without consent no measurement starts and Google Analytics sets no cookie in your browser.

What it records: the pages visited, the time and length of the visit, the device and browser type, an approximate location at country or city level, and where you came from. Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP addresses of European visitors. We do not identify you personally from this.

Server logs

Our hosting provider logs requests to the server so the site runs safely and reliably: IP address, time, the page requested and browser details. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in operating the site securely.

3. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become work: two years from when they arrive, then deleted. The period is this long because a decision to renovate is often made months or a year or two after the first enquiry, and without a record of that first conversation we could not pick it up again usefully.
  • Enquiries that become a contract: five years from completion, which is the general limitation period under Hungarian civil law.
  • Invoices and accounting records: eight years, as required by Hungarian Act C of 2000 on Accounting.
  • Server logs: up to six months.
  • Website measurement data: as configured in Google Analytics, up to fourteen months.

If you withdraw your consent, we delete the data held on that basis, except anything we are legally required to keep.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing. To run the website we use these processors:

  • SiteGround Hosting EOOD (6 Olimpiyska Str., 1166 Sofia, Bulgaria) for hosting. The website and anything submitted through the form are stored on their servers.
  • Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) for email (Google Workspace) and website measurement (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager).

We may also pass your data to our accountant if the enquiry leads to invoicing, and to a public authority where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

The providers above are registered in the European Union, but through their parent companies data may be transferred to the United States. Those transfers are covered by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

If you would like to read those safeguards, ask for a copy at info@aplusrenovation.hu and we will send them to you free of charge.

6. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file the website stores in your browser. There are two groups.

Cookies necessary for the site to work are set without asking, because without them the site cannot do its job. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

  • pll_language – remembers whether you are reading the site in Hungarian or English. Lasts 1 year.
  • aplus_consent – remembers whether you accepted or declined measurement cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. Lasts 6 months.

Measurement cookies are only set if you press “Accept” on the cookie bar. Until then Google Tag Manager is held in a denied state through Google Consent Mode, and Google Analytics writes no cookie. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

  • _ga – Google Analytics uses it to tell visitors apart. Lasts 2 years.
  • _ga_H6K8BGPWVQ – Google Analytics uses it to keep track of the current visit. Lasts 2 years.
  • _gcl_au – Google uses it to measure whether a click on an advertisement led to an enquiry. Lasts 90 days.

You can change your answer at any time: click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and the bar comes back. You can also delete cookies already set through your browser settings.

7. Security

The website and its forms run over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Submitted enquiries are stored on servers inside the European Union. Only people who need it for their work have access, through individual accounts protected by two-step verification. Access is reviewed regularly.

8. Automated decision-making

We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not profile you. Every quote and every decision is made by a person, based on a survey of the apartment.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights over your data:

  • Information and access: ask whether we hold data about you, and get a copy.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data where there is no longer a basis for keeping it.
  • Restriction of processing.
  • Portability: ask for the data you gave us in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdrawal of consent, at any time and without giving a reason.

Send any request to info@aplusrenovation.hu. We reply within one month of receiving it, and it costs you nothing.

10. Complaints

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, please contact us first using the details above. You can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority:

Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH)
Address: Falk Miksa utca 9-11., 1055 Budapest, Hungary
Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9., Hungary
Phone: +36 1 391 1400
Email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu
Web: naih.hu

You may also go to court. Proceedings can be brought before the tribunal for the place where you live or stay.

11. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our processing changes or when the law changes. The version in force is always the one on this page, with its start date at the top.
